  A Stream Investigation

Students evaluate the health of a stream by sampling, grouping, and classifying live aquatic invertebrates and by doing simple water chemistry. Give your students the excitement of engaging in meaningful scientific study, using live samples! This fast paced program includes an active "habitat game",  a student's workbook, and the opportunity to use quality scientific equipment ..............all wrapped in an exciting mystery!

Students become investigators to help "Finsworth Fish" evaluate the health of his home stream. After the program, you and your students can analyze the data (and practise math skills - percent, multiplication, reading graphs and tables - at the same time; instructions are provided).

This dynamic two hour program designed for Grades 4 - 6 is presented in your classroom so you have no added workload. We bring all the excitement of a field trip into your classroom, and we enhance the curriculum that you are required to teach.
